• Storage-unit, lease, access, account-balance, and paid-through information.
• Payment status and transaction references. Square processes payment-card details; U-Store does not store full card numbers.
• Communications, consent records, verification records, and text-message opt-out requests.
• Limited website and session information used for security, reliability, and account access.

How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide and administer storage rentals, leases, tenant accounts, and customer support.
• Send account verification messages and requested transactional communications.
• Send rent reminders, balance notices, payment links, payment confirmations, and storage-unit service updates when you have consented to text messaging.
• Prevent fraud, protect our website and systems, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations.

Mobile and text messaging privacy

If you expressly opt in, U-Store may send transactional text messages related to your tenant account. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of renting a unit or making a purchase.

Mobile phone information, text messaging originator opt-in data, and consent will not be shared, sold, rented, or otherwise provided to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

We retain consent and opt-out records as reasonably necessary to honor your choices and document compliance. Opting out of text messages does not prevent us from contacting you through other channels allowed by your agreement and applicable law.

When information is shared

We may provide information to service providers that process it for us as needed to operate our rental, payment, email, text messaging, hosting, verification, and customer-support services. They may use the information only to provide those services or as required by law. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate protections.

Data security and retention

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, our contractual and legal obligations, dispute resolution, and recordkeeping.

• Reply STOP to any U-Store text message to stop text messages.
• Reply HELP for help or call U-Store at 920-318-6566.
• Contact us to request a correction to your contact information.
